One hundred girls in one hundred days, number two. Pen on paper and digital coloured variation. Sour, angry face; I've been experiencing some of those moods lately; when you're mad, you're mad.

I've decided to set out a little project for myself, involving the creation of one hundred ladies over the course of one hundred days.

The idea popped into my head on Friday night while I was caught up in live music.

Josh and I went to see a classical concert (some Tchaikovsky and others). After about an hour, there was a flurry of extra long applause with a standing ovation, the musicians went backstage and coming back out, and there was what seemed to be an encore. The lights came up and the audience filed out. I turned to Josh as we walked down the stairs; was that it...it seemed kind of short? We made our way to the lobby and were out the door when we realized that no one else was leaving; the rest of the crowd was lingering around, getting drinks and chatting. It finally sunk it that we has mistaken intermission for the end of the show. Oops.

I'm excited to announce the addition of several new additions to the Quite & Polite store! Click here to check out some of the new rings available for sale.

I've always been a huge fan of cocktail rings! (I have a tray on my counter at home showcasing my personal collection). They're so easy to slip on and I love how they instantly add interest to any outfit. Not to toot my own horn, but what I like best about the rings I've designed (beside the polkas!) is how durable they are; I'm always washing my hands, bumping up against things and generally can't be trusted (this is why we can't have nice things...), but the resin used to make these stands up to abuse pretty well!

If you have any questions, or requests for a custom order, please don't hesitate to message me!

Here's hoping that some decent sleep is in my future; recently, I've been spending my nights solo on a futon, dozing off to the Food Network or W (Guy Fieri is basically my best friend [also the property brothers...]). Last night I fell asleep watching Girls on Cosmo, woke up at 3:30 am to the ending credits of Shakespeare in Love and was subsequently too melancholy and bummed to fall back asleep for a while.

Whenever I see Gwyneth Paltrow, I'm compelled to think back to high school, when my AP English class and I, after watching one too many classic-turned-film movies for class, came to the frightening conclusion that she ruled our lives (Great Expectations anyone?).

It's been a long time in the works but I'm happy to announce that the Quiet & Polite store is up and running! Click here for stickers and prints, and stay tuned for new items being added soon.

Last weekend was spent exploring a litte city by the river, Stratford. We found some excellent street art, visited an organic outdoor market, ate lots of delicious food (mostly sweets!) and hung out with a bunch of happy ducks (they were fearless and waddled right up to around my ankles; they also kept chasing after one another and picking feathery fights).

While the rest of the world was going gaga for Game of Thrones (which I've incidentally started watching recently, and yeah...it's good), I was busy falling in love with Vikings. It has the same gritty, medieval feeling as GOT and in addition to being completely addicting, it had one of the most hauntingly amazing season finales I've ever seen.

A few weeks ago, I whipped up these portraits of Vikings two main characters, Ragnar Lothbrok and his wife Lagertha for Josh, the boyfriend's, birthday. (He's starting to amass a little shrine of my artwork on his wall!)

Thanks to everyone who came out to the Button Factory's art market last Saturday! I had a great day: enjoying the warm weather, meeting new people and enjoying some excellent local artists and musicians. I'll be there again this Saturday as well, can't wait! (for more info click here).

(There's a chance that the show may be cancelled due to bad weather, so everyone please keep your fingers crossed for sunny skies!)

I'm excited to announce that I'll be participating in Artist Alley, an outdoor market in Kitchener Waterloo presented by The Button Factory! The market will feature local artists and is open select Fridays until October, as well as the Saturday dates listed above; it's located adjacent to The Button Factory, across from the Waterloo Parkade between King & Regina Street. For more information, please visit The Button Factory's website.

I've been a busy bee the past few weeks gearing up: pouring resin, framing drawings and packaging products. I'll be featuring rings, pins, stickers, original drawings & paintings, prints and magnets. If you're in the area, stop by and say hello!

Hope to see you all there!

I'm excited to share a sneak peek of my newest series, Fangs. I've been busily editing scans for the  past few days and it's beyond satisfying to have some new work under my belt! I'll be sharing the full versions in the next few days, so stay tuned.
